Catcher in the Rye is quite simply an American classic. Its approach is unintentionally timeless, as Holden, and those he encounters, are as believable as characters come. I’m amazed that even in this digital age, college students can so easily relate to Holden’s situation and the angst he feels towards the world. Everyone goes through it, and that is why so many people (of all ages) love this book.
Ghost Costume Toddler

It looks very sophisticated, and is very sensitive – the minute you touch the scale, it comes on and you can step on it to weigh yourself. The display is also very easy to see. Love it!

If you live in NYC or have spent a considerible amount of time here this is a cool little story about a kid wandering the streets of Nyc.
Star Power Gourmet Snack

All of Lewis Black’s CDs are great, but Luther Burbank is the best. He’s in top form, the material doesn’t overlap with other CDs and the audience is incredibly responsive. Here’s my order of his CDs, from most-best to least-best:

1. Luther Burbank (2005) — Los Angeles
2. Rules of Enragement (2003) — Minneapolis
3. Carnegie Hall (2006, a double-album) — New York City
4. End of the Universe (2002) — Atlanta
5. White Album (his first album, in 2000) — Madison, WI
6. Anticipation (his most recent, and sadly, his least funny) — Wausau, WI

Get them all!
Luther Burbank Performing Arts

Honestly the best novel I’ve read in a long time. I was lucky enough to get a free copy. What a gem! If you haven’t read it yet, give it a try. You won’t be dissappointed. I really hope Stockett has more stories up her sleeve. We’ll see! *waits anxiously*
Chiltern s Orange Tax

After reading all the great reviews, I decided to buy this scale to replace our old one that no longer works. I was really excited to get this scale! It sounded perfect and just what we needed. When it arrived, we set it all up and proceeded to weigh ourselves. First you need to calibrate the scale, which we did, but after it went through that process it immediately started to screw up. The scale has three different measurement settings: kilograms, pounds and stones. Even though the switch was set to pounds, the scale was reading in kilograms. We tried everything, switching it back and forth to pounds again, resetting the batteries, recalibrating it, and nothing helped set the scale back to pounds. It seems to be stuck on kilograms no matter what we do. Its such a shame because besides that problem I really do like the scale, but will have to return the scale because of that problem.
Gateway to Memory An

I read this during banned book week. I had not read it before, but it’s a classic. And hey, I wanted to see what could be so bad in it to ban it.

Hoo boy! Did I ever figure out. This book was obviously banned for being the single most boring book ever written. Or perhaps the incidence of boredom induced coma was so high, they felt the need to ban it. I don’t know. But I never did see anything horrible or even questionable in this book – nevermind interesting.

I’m sure people will comment about what a great piece of work this is. To them, I say “meh”
Time And Space Feat

We had looked at many carpet cleaner’s and compared them to each other. After reading comment’s left on various website’s, we chose the Hoover. It can be a tad tricky putting it together. It worked well on a pet stain we had as well as the carpet in our cottage. It’s interesting (or gross) to see the water, even when I thought our carpet was clean! A good price for a good product!
Precision Design 0 25x

This is my first GPS type device and I really like it! Now, I am free to walk/run all around the area and can get the exact mileage. This eliminates me having to go on the same route day after day just because I know what that mileage is. I never used the heart rate monitor (yet) so I can’t comment on that feature. The basic workout display is easy to use and I like the interval beep that tells me when to switch from walking to running. I am still unsure about the software as I did install the CD but it is not very user friendly. Now, I don’t do my walk/run without it!
Zeiss Ikon 1 4

Artemis Fowl 1 is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Probably in my top 10. The characters were very different from each other, each with his own personality. This book had an okay plot: Artemis was desperate to get his family’s wealth back by stealing the gold from fairies. I enjoyed it. This book engrossed me entirely. I thirst to read the next books and so might you.
