Let’s start with the fact that this book is an American Classic. It deals with the coming of age of Holden Caulfied, a completely incoragable young man who is not always likeable. That’s the thing that sucks you in. This kid swears, smokes, lies, gets kicked out of school, etc. etc. Not exactly the kind of book I want my teenager reading, but in the end, the story all comes together.

Holden is quite intuitive and really sees the underbelly of human nature and the false bravado with which adults live their lives. He, of course, is full of false bravado himself (the scene with the hooker shows that). He calls them like he sees them, even at the expense of others.
Is Holden a hero to teens or a rebel without a cause? The answer lies in your own interpretation of this story. Give it a try.

I am an avid reader but a new e-reader…so I did a good month of research before I finally parted with my hard earned money and bought a Kindle. Thanks to all of you who put your honest reviews out here, it helped me make my decision.

Now, lets just start by saying I LOVE books,i love how they feel, how they smell and never thought i would go with some crazy gadget for reading my precious books. But after my book habit started looking like an episode of Hoarders, i thought maybe i should get off my high horse and try something that would clean up my clutter. Boy am I happy that I did!!!

Not only is my impatient personality satisified by having a book instantaneously, but I can read faster! Less fumbling with pages, bending spines and finding positions that accomodate a thousand page hardback! I tend to read several books at one time and the Kindle keeps my “page” in every single one of them simultaneously..no lost bookmarks, no random peices of paper or receipts or whatever i can find to mark my place.

Next…it is SO easy to use. Everything from finding new books to increasing the font size is just a click away…if you have used a laptop pointing device, the Kindle is even easier. I have had no accidental purchases, no mishaps turning pages,nothing. I LOVE the dictionary feature…you just put your curser on a word and VOILA..the definition comes up at the bottom of your screen automatically1 What a great thing for me but can you imagine what that could do for a student? WOW, is all I can say.

Last but not least by any means..i can throw my Kindle in my purse (i recommend you buy the case of your choice first) and have a virtual library at my finger tips…and the size of the book doesn’t matter! How freeing!

While I will still ALWAYS love books and everything about them…I love my Kindle.

I purchased this product on February and it worked great after the initial set up but then started to drop the internet connection every few days so I had to reconfigure everything over and over. Tech support was helpful to a point but seemed to give a different answer to the problem everytime I phoned: maybe it’s Microsoft…maybe it’s your 2.4GHZ phone running on the same frequency…maybe it’s the firmware. I finally got back to phoning them again this past month ( June. I have a new baby so I needed to find 4 hours I could carve out to spend on the phone with tech support). After 4 hours I’m up again, but the print server does not work. Come to find out my printer, a new Canon i850, is not on their “hardware compatibility list”, which mysteriously was not posted anywhere convenient when I bought both of these products at the same time. Annoying. I may keep the router if it stays stable for a month, but I will need to buy another wireless print server if I want to be truely wireless. If your in the market, I recommend researching other products to avoid this purchase.

when i borrowed the friend’s garmin that caused me to buy one of my own, they gave me this same clover-shaped friction mount to use with it. likewise, because it was so easy to set up & use, i got one to match, too. this thing works great, and doesn’t leave scuffs/residue/etc on the dash of the car. i really don’t want to leave suction cup marks all over the glass or obstruct any direct viewing real estate out the window, and those air-vent clip mounts look really flimsy, so a dash mount was the way to go. it’s decently grippy: for the most part, even with sharp corners & quick turns, this unit won’t slide off the dash. hit a pothole or an unexpected bump in the road at any speed, though, and the unit will jitter over a bit (so far, not enough to slide out of reach or fall on the floor, but still). it’s a bit too bulky to easily hide in the glove compartment or console, so i’ve just been tossing it up under the passenger side dash or in the backseat floorboards. it’s not perfect, but it’s so much easier than most any other option.
Linux A Practical Approach

I had to buy this software because I ignored the cheaper upgrade options from Microsoft when I activated a trial. What can I say? It’s just Microsoft software and if you do a free trial with a new computer, don’t ignore the offers you’ll get almost immediately to convert your trial.

I highly recommend this product, I saved a lot of money by purchasing this. This replaced a cable I purchased for about [...] bucks and I was having problems with it. This is so much better and you can’t go wrong with the price. Will purchase from again!
Unix Storage Management

This machine did it’s job and did it well. I’m amazed at how much gunk was in my carpet. Easy to use, simple to assemble and clean. One of the best purchases I’ve made for our home. It cleaned red wine stains and muddy paw prints out of beige carpet perfectly. Carpet dried within 1-2 hours. Well worth the price!
Northern Industrial Snowmobile Dolly

We have three dogs that shed like crazy. We used to pay a groomer extra to use the Furminator on them. Now that I purchased one, the groomer is a thing of the past. Both the golden retriever and black lab love to be furminated. The basset, not so much, but he is younger and more impatient. After the first session, I filled several plastic grocery bags with gobs of fur. I could have made a couple of sweaters. Since then, we have had less shedding in the house. I wish I would have had this tool years ago.

Update: I vacuum once a week now instead of daily. As long as I used the Furminator twice a month, the dogs shed a lot less. I swear by this grooming tool. The dogs actually look forward to it.

I’ve used the 305 for years and love it! It’s so great to see your distance and pace at a glance as well as compare your runs on your computer. I just bought this unit for my daughter and she loves it as well. When traveling overseas it does take longer to initalize but once it does it works great.

This is great. ease of use. light weight, no page turning. I like to read several books at one time and what could be better than my kindle . I love my kindle.I feel like giving it a pet name because not only is it functional it’s cute. I had no trouble learning how to use it . Buy onc you won’t be sorry.
