This is a terrible sound machine. It’s far too quiet to mask any household noises. It’s so quiet that I have to lie perfectly still in order to even be able to tell that it’s on. No exaggeration–The highest volume setting is quiet as a whisper. It’s an absolute waste of money.

I bought two of these, first two times using them, everything stuck to them. In both cases I was making cookies (with a lot of butter). I didn’t add any additional spray/lube/butter to the mat, because I thought that was the point of using them. Theoretically cleanable in a dishwasher, but they’re so floppy and large that it’s impractical. I left them soak in the sink and the dough did come right off after a few minutes of soaking. But… how is this better than a regular cookie sheet? I can put that in the dishwasher. A cooking salesperson today told me she had the silpat (or similar) and they worked great. I told her mine stuck and she said, “Oh, you must have the Kitchenaid ones.”

This is a marvelous, accurate pedometer. You can carry it in a pocket or in a handbag. It is the easiest to use pedometer that I’ve come across. Other models that require being attached to a belt or waist line, come unhooked and get lost. Highly recommended. I just purchased another one as a gift to my sister.

This is my second ipod. My first was a third generation ipod Nano, which worked flawlessly for over two years. After those two years, I was feeling a little bored with my 8gig Nano, though it still functioned perfectly, so I went out and splurged on the ipod Touch 3rd generation. I was weary, as I heard battery life on these were short, and they had a tendency to die spontaneously, so I also purchased a $35 two-year warranty plan with the ipod. When I got home, I was incredibly happy right away. For anyone who has had an ipod in the past, syncing your content is the the same as before. For new users, all you need is itunes. Some have complained about itunes being the only way to add content to ipods, but this hasn’t really burdened me in any way. If you don’t want to use itunes for listening to music on your computer, simply download another media manager and just use itunes for syncing your ipod.

But I have spent far more time using the ipod’s Wi-Fi capabilities for internet browsing and downloading apps. Speaking of apps, it’s quite an endless spectrum. I have downloaded many apps, from games, to a GPS system, to virtual comic books. The capabilities are nearly endless. If you can imagine it, there is probably an app for it. The web browsing is quick and simple. The only complaint I have is that the screen will sometimes go from vertical to horizontal or vice versa when I didn’t intend for it to happen. As annoying as this is, it’s easily fixed by slanting the ipod back in the other direction.

As for battery life, it highly depends on what you’re doing. When listening to music, it lasts a long time. When browsing the web, watching videos, or playing games, the battery seems to just get away from you. I wouldn’t have minded if they had made this unit a bit heavier if that meant a heftier battery, but to me it’s a minor complaint. There are many things you can do to preserve battery life. This moving picture show has the same outcome on me as when I watch any of the Three Stooges comedies (with Curly, of course) – I can reckon it 100 times, and ne’er get bored with it. Richard Lester, probably best known for directing the Beatles’ forcemeats in the sixties, carried the same lighthearted , good natured, and clever murder of camera work to “A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum .” Zero Mostel is at his best in his starring theatrical role as the quick-tonged, lying, cozening Roman slave doing work always to pull ahead his freedom . The much under-utilized Jack Gifford is in top form as the top striver of his Mistresses household ; forever being overreached by the Mostel character. The lonesome negative I can assign to this film , and it is a really small negative, is the character played by Phil Silvers. Silvers, in his office as Sgt. Bilko (later “The Phil Silvers Show”) was everything and more the character played by Mostel, but therein moving picture show , he appears really worn upon in sure prospects , about disinterested. As a immense buff off Silvers, his personation of a ” pitchman of material body ,” is sadly woody nightshade , where it should have been an opportunity for him to display case his twat pranks . I was utterly shuddered to finally buy this moving picture show in the VIDEODISK format. Buy it – you won’t regret it ; you can yet observe it with your kids! .
