Mind in Tibetan Buddhism

I love the furmiator. My dog get one of the thickest winter coats which takes a long time to come out and ends up all over the house with me vacuuming several times a week. In about 30 minutes time, I can get rid of most of this. I let my mom borrow it and she never gave it back…LOL so I ordered another one for this season.

I highly recommend this!

I just got this vacuum, and it seems to work fine. However, the design is very flawed. I had a hoover vacuum prior to this which was purchased in 1996. It recently broke, which is why I bought this one. Two things that really, REALLY bug me:

1) The old vacuum had a storage compartment for the extension wand tools right below and in front of the top handle. There was a clear/see-through plastic lid which you had to lift to access the 3 tools. This new vacuum does not have this handy compartment-the tools are placed separately behind the vacuum in different places.

2) In the old hoover, the hose was stored on the RIGHT side of the vacuum. All you had to do was drape it over a piece of plastic on the right side and then stick it in its hole at the bottom. The wire was coiled in the back. In this new vacuum, the hose goes BEHIND the vacuum, RIGHT behind the wire. So you have this mess of coiled wire and a coiled hose (and don’t forget the tools)….what the…?!?! A very fatal design flaw, in my opinion. Really, hoover? REALLY? Come on, this is 2010, your 1996 product made much more sense in terms of design.

Even though the old vacuum had a 7.3-amp motor compared to the 12-amp one in this vacuum, it was still a powerful vacuum with great design. It lasted 14 years and helped me tremendously…God bless the “Hoover Dimension Limited” vacuum. This new vacuum has some pretty large shoes to fill, so to speak.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. She has never slept well and this has definately helped. The best thing about it is that it plays all night until I shut it off (you can set the timer if you want). Also has many different sound options. It also has a night light that I really like. It’s not to bright but bright enough for my daughter to be satisfied with it and it is easy to turn on and off, just push the top. I’m very happy with this sound machine.

I’ve just purchased this product, so my commnets are preliminary. This review is prompted by my friend’s purchase of an iPad, which I also considered. For someone who reads books, the Kindle is by far the better choice. The iPad is beautiful and multifaceted, and much better suited to picture books, illustrated magazines, and newspapers. But it is heavy, and its many talents distracting. Anyone who senses that he or she wastes too much time on the internet or with games would do well to choose the Kindle. It is light, easy to read (I know,this is counterintuitive becsuse of the gray on gray e-paper) and a delight in bright sun light Reading in bed you need a bed lamp or convenient acessory lamp, just as you would reading a hardback or paperback book. The download feature works just about anywhere, and it is lightningly quick. I did learn you can only download the Kindle app on one PC. Also some older books you may want (I was looking for Last Exit from Brooklyn)on your Kindle are not available in this format (or other electronic formats for that matter). I subscribe to The New Republic, and it appears without fail every two weeks. I have not compared this edition with the print edition for completeness. I certainly recommend the Kindle to the serious reader.

Eoin Colfer’s writing is peppered with witty sarcasms and tough, smart heroes; the plot line is exciting and surprising; and the genre is an exciting mix of fantasy and technology-packed action that is sure to satisfy any reader. Even better, there are four more books, with a sixth in the making, as well as an upcoming movie. Read this book, and learn why millions of readers adore Artemis Fowl!!
