Sick about Personalized Buddha Lavender Baby

I received this yesterday. I took it out of the box, read the instructions, inserted the batteries (yes, properly) and calibrated it as directed. When it was sitting on the floor reading “0.0 lbs” the screen was well-lit and the numbers looked clear. However, the minute anyone stepped on it, the numbers changed to nonsense characters. Some of the bars that form the numbers were lit, some not, some half-way, but none of it forming any actual numbers. I waited and the “C” appeared to tell me it was calibrated. Then I tried again. Nope, still nonsense. I should mention that I am well within the weight range of the scale.

I thought maybe the floor was uneven there so I tried another location, recalibrated again, and waited. Nope, same result. Yet another 5 locations later I had no better luck. I gave up and I am returning the product today.

What a disappointment!!

Update on 11/3/2010 **Shortly after I posted this review, I received an email from the EatSmart company apologizing for the fact that I received a lemon. They had shipped me out a free replacement before I even saw the email, and it was home waiting for me that night! I had a couple very friendly emails from the company, and the replacement scale is working perfectly. Therefore I upgraded my review to 4 stars. After I’ve used the scale for a few months and see that it continues to work, I’ll update this review again and may even go up to 5 stars because the functioning scale looks very nice and is very user-friendly, and seems to be quite accurate when compared to my doctor’s scale and my old analog scale. Very happy with the customer service.

After reading review upon review I purchased the 305 even though many women reported it being too bulky for them. I am so pleased with the product that its features far outweigh any bulkiness issues for me. I have small wrists and tighten the strap to the next to the last hole.
I’ve used my Garmin for all training runs, a 5k, my 1st half marathon and several long bike rides in the few weeks that I’ve had it. I wish I would have purchased it long ago, it’s a great tool to aid in my workouts.

This is the 2nd pedometer I have purchased in the last 10 years. The first one was cheaper and not at all reliable. This pedometer was given an excellent review in a recent issue of Good Housekeeping magazine and was purchased through Amazon.com. It lives up to its high rating, and because it is so reliable, it really helps me in setting # of step goals daily.

The story is engaging but the style of writing is not the best. I read the books once and will continue to follow the series, but won’t be rereading the books a second time. It IS worth reading one time at least.

With so many reviews at an average rating of 4+ stars, I was expecting slightly better than this vacuum. I was replacing an aging vacuum that really had no issues other than being something that belongs in a museum. First off, the vacuum feels cheap. When you snap the front cover into place, there is no strong, definitive ‘click.’ It just barely pops on. The bag that came in the vacuum seems not to fit correctly (too long.) In use, the vacuum takes two swipes, when my old vacuum only needed one. It’s top heavy which makes it difficult to maneuver. My biggest gripe is the hose. Absolutely useless. It’s way too short and stiff. You won’t be able to get the back half of your couch cushions, no exaggeration at all. Add to that, the fact that it is top heavy and it’s nearly impossible to use. I bought a Hoover brand extra long extension hose, and it’s not much better, due to the top heavy-ness of the vacuum. But the hose was about $25. All in all, if I’d bought locally and kept the box, this would have been returned. The cord is also too short. It’s also the LOUDEST vacuum I’ve ever encountered. The only plus is that it does have a wider path and rolls fairly easily forward. All in all, it’s an ‘acceptable’ vacuum, however, I’d really strongly recommend you keep looking. I guess at this price point, it’s kind of hard to gripe, however, I wanted to share some of my frustrations.

Review about Pampers Baby Diapers Dry

When I first took the mount out of the box the first thing I thought was: “Wow this thing is going to just slide all over the dashboard every time I turn a corner!”

Well I’ve had it on the dash of my Pontiac Torrent now for almost 2 months and it has yet move. It stays exactly where you set it. I’m not sure exactly how it is able to do it, but it does what it claims. That is, it won’t slide around at all, it “sticks” in place. I’ve even taken some pretty sharp fast turns just to see if it would move. It doesn’t. I imagine anyone who orders this mount will think the same as I did when you first take it out of the box, but you’ll be quite surprised at how it stays where you put it.

I also really like that once you park, all you have to do is grab the whole mount and set it on the floor. When you get back to your car, you simply just pick it up and put it on the dash. No more messing around with suction cups.
