I bought this for only one reason: I have two cats who apparently find it fun to reject their food… after they ate it. Resolve only worked so well, there was still a noticeable spot where we attempted to clean up. It got to the point where we needed to call a steam cleaning company once a year, but would have preferred to do it even more often than that.

Enter the Hoover SteamVac. I was skeptical because I didn’t expect it to do as good of a job as a professional cleaning, but I was ready to try anything. It has been easily the wisest purchase I have made in a long time. When I first received it I tried it on all the remaining noticeable spots in the house, I did so in one tank of cleaner and all the spots were gone. And wow was that water pretty disgusting when I dumped it out.

Now I use the SteamVac once my felines’ little accidents occur 3 times. Clean all three, use the rest of the tank on the surrounding areas, the way I see it I’m fully steam cleaning my carpets yearly anyways.

There are some quirks that make this product less than perfect, but they are easy to deal with. First of all you really have to read the manual cover to cover. Its instructions, while not complicated, are crucial. For example you truly do need to vacuum beforehand, otherwise hair on the carpet will bunch up and be spit out in a wet wad. (Although this is actually really easy to clean up, perhaps not a downside!) Also I noticed after a few uses that the unit noticeably stops its suction after a while, the manual states that it does so once the discharge tank is full. Turns out the discharge tank fills up slightly faster than the cleaner reservoir empties, so you will have to pay attention to this loss of suction and empty the discharge tank before you have used up your cleaning fluid. This unit also does not actually warm your water, so if you do want to use super hot water you are responsible for its temperature going in, and you better clean fast. I bought this product is because its loop-through connection feature that my two HDTVs in different rooms can share one cable set-top-box. However, the setup is a bit painful. Two of my HDTVs are in living room and study room which are about 60 feet apart with a kitchen in between. In the beginning, I had transmitter (with loop-through) connected to 1st HDTV in living room and receiver connected to 2nd HDTV in study room and turned both on. They could not synchronize and transmitter kept “searching” receiver. Then I tried to put receiver close to transmitter and about 30 secs they synchronized. I tried to move the receiver away a bit in the kitchen, they still are still wirelessly connected. However, when I moved the receiver to the study room, the connection was gone. It’s probably the kitchen appliances block the transmission ?? I gave it another try by mounting the transmitter vertically on the wall behind the 1st HDTV and tried the connection with same steps, well, finally, it works! Once they are synchronized in this setup, the transmission and video quality are good.

The affordability and loop-through feature, but with not-that-easy setup, I gave this product 4 stars.

I have considered myself an avid reader since the age of 8. I have read countless books and can honestly say this is without a doubt the best book I have ever had the pleasure of reading! I didn’t want to put it down and at the same time was absolutely dreading the end. I wanted this book to go on forever!

I have never read a book more than once in my life and I have already decided that I will re-read this book every December for years to come. I read it for the first time during the holidays last year and would like to start a tradition of reading this amazing book every year at Christmastime, going forward…what a gift to myself! Can’t wait to read more by Ms. Stockett!
The Twilight Saga New

Thought for a long time about it. Checked a lot of other devices. Based my decision on the fact that I wanted a reading device and nothing else. After 6 months I am still convinced this is the best I could find. No comparison with other devices I have seen. Took it to the beach during my vacation and simply enjoyed reading and reading without carrying books around. I have it always with me where ever I go. I read so many books I had no space left at home where to put them. Solved it with my new Kindle 2. Hope to see more Italian language books for this device, but will avidly keep reading English books while waiting for it. Might be buying one for my kids at that point.

Our vet had demonstrated this brush for us and we loved it but didn’t want to spend $50 on it. We ended up finding it from an amazon seller for $14, so we jumped on the chance to buy it. Our dog, a beagle/Shepherd mix (at best guess), seemed to have an endless undercoat. We tried two other brushes: a bristle brush, which is actually for finishing, and he loves getting brushed with it but it doesn’t do anything during shedding season; and a slicker brush, which he didn’t really like and didn’t seem to pull out much hair. He doesn’t love the Furminator either but that’s just his temperament. He tolerates it, and it pulls hair out so well that usually he’s not fed up with it by the time we’re done brushing him. Highly recommend this product, it’s certainly worth paying full price if you can’t find a discount.

The only setback is that after every purchase, you have to start over your search from the beginning.

First, the vacuum arrived early which really surprised me, especially since the shipping was free. The box was dented but the product wasn’t damaged that I can tell.

I assembled it easily enough, but I can’t figure out what to do with the cord. Right now it is both in front of and behind the hose. The diagram in the manual was no help at all. If someone can tell me where it should be placed, I would appreciate it.

Other than these issues, the vacuum worked like a dream. It really picked up the dirt and cat hair, and from the amount it picked up, my old vacuum hasn’t been doing a very good job lately. If it continues to work this well, I will very happy with my purchase.

I received one of these pedometers as a gift a few years back and have had absolutely no problems with it, so when my retired parents both got into walking and were using crappy pedometers that wouldn’t keep the step counts and couldn’t be reset, I knew exactly what they needed. So I ordered two, gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day and sure as heck, my dad wanted one of his own….good thing I thought ahead! I really recommend this pedometer. It is easy to use, easy to read, accurate…but I really like that it works equally well in your pocket and doesn’t have to be on your hip. Keep the instructions, because when you change the batteries (about once a year or less) you will need to set it up again.

The book arrived in time, no problems. I was surprised to see it is much cheaper at TJMaxx the other day.

This card is fast and so far no problems. Using it in my Canon T1I dSLR camera. When shooting HD movie’s you need to move a lot of data fast to avoid skips and pauses in action. I will never buy another SDHC card that is not Class 6 or above. You will find deals on Class 2 and Class 4 cards… and they may suffice for your needs. But I don’t want to bottleneck my pictures or video because I wanted to save $5 on the card. I also have a 8 gig Class 6 Transcend SDHC card and so far have had no problems.
