I, like so many, thought these were books for teenagers and ignored the series completely for the longest time. My friend said she started to read them and encouraged me to try the first one just to see. We both have kids in elementary school so we aren’t the “target audience”, although I truly believe these books aren’t YA. (Stephenie even said herself that the first one was never written that way, it is just the genre they got put into.)

So, I began reading, and began falling in love with this story. There are a few words that get repeated too often and there are even typos here and there, but it didn’t matter. You get to step into another world and learn all about these wonderful characters with Stephenie’s fantastic descriptions. And you literally feel the passion going on between them!

I’ve seen the first movie, but will not see any more. There is just no comparison since there is soooo much more in the books. I have read all four books (and the Midnight Sun draft online) and would say Twilight is my favorite of the published ones in this series. But I love each one since it continues the story. It will be hard to find something better, but I hope to find other books as good.

I have a great running group that sends a map of the course to be run each week that can be simply downloaded on to my fore runner 305 so I can focus on running not the street I need to turn on . Plus trail running is my fav. and after the run it is fun to look at my course and speed and distance which when you just run random trails was hard to calculate before.

WRONG!!!

Apple’s business model is still if you want ANYTHING, EVEN a lousy case to put the damn thing in, you have to PAY THROUGH THE NOSE!

You want to connect to your email client on your Windows PC (say, Thunderbird)? Sorry, Charlie, you’re out of luck. There’s NO way to do that!

You’d like to connect to a calendar on your PC? Sorry, Charlie, you’re out of luck. You’ve got to have a mac with iCal or consign your information to some web site monopoly as a go-between.

You want to use logmeinfree to check into your home computer while on the road? Sorry, Charlie, you’re out of luck. It’ll cost you $20 bucks.

You want to play flash media or any of another 1/2 dozen protocols (which is about 1/2 of my internet access)? Sorry, Charlie, you’re out of luck. YOU CAN’T!!! ‘Cause Adobe, etc. won’t give Mr. Jobs the necessary vigorish – won’t pay and pay and pay!?!

Hell, you want a case for the damn thing? Sorry, Charlie, you’re out of luck. It’ll cost you AT LEAST $20 to protect it.

If you have a Windows computer don’t even consider one of these unless you just want a horribly overpriced mp3 player!!!
