Vivitar 285HV Professional Auto and you

I bought my Vivitar 285HV for my old Canon PowerShot G3. I originally had an Opteka flash that was much more automatic than the Vivitar, so it took a lot of trial and error to figure out what made the camera really work well with the light provided by the flash. I learned a lot more about operating my camera in manual modes, which has helped me in general to take better pics.

The flash itself does a fine job. It cycles fast, puts out quite even, adequate light and, once you figure out how to eke better pics out of your camera, is a great addition to any “basic” camera setup.

Add a Sto-Fen OmniBounce and this Vivitar flash is a very versatile unit.

Hello f Vivitar 1300mm 650

OK – so I’m not an intellect….but I found this book to be absolutely wonderful. I listened to it on CD as I travelled to and from work. It was well written and absolutely held my interest from beginning to end. If you want John Steinbeck, then read John Steinbeck (as suggested from readers who don’t share my enthusiasm). In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful story and cry and laugh, as I did.

Wanna 1 Series High Vivitar

This book is one of those that you can’t stop thinking about. I really enjoyed reading it and I am so sad now that I’m finished! I highly recommend it!

Vivitar Filter FK2 52 problem!

I stopped using this device altogether because it can’t locate GPS satellites where I start my runs in New York City (Midtown Manhattan) due to the tall buildings.

I often found myself waiting and worrying about trying to get a satellite location rather than focusing on the actual run.

The included software for reading your GPS data is also antiquated and confusing.

The heart rate monitor function works very well, better than a cheaper Timex model I previously owned. But I’d rather have a standalone HRM with a smaller watch since the GPS doesn’t work for me.

Could be a fun product in areas with GPS reception.
