I was really enjoying the story of the Artemis Fowl series, but I found I kept getting pulled out of it by the sloppy writing and editing. Everything from inconsistencies (in the second book there’s mention of a purple gel which is described as orange on the next page), incorrect words (”Root was loosing his cool.”), and an over-reliance on adjectives (although, to be fair, I suppose that might be excusable as the book’s targeted at a younger audience).

I can only recommend this book if you can get past this sort of thing. I, personally, can not, and gave up on the series after the second book.

Amazing first book from author Kathryn Stockett. I felt the author truly lived this experience before she wrote it. The richness and hardship of the African American maids stories was disturbing and very touching at the same time.

I have been using this product during my Mileage buildup for the upcoming Honolulu Marathon. The features help me train and keep me motivated with alarms that beep if too slow and if your heartrate isn’t where it needs to be. My only problem with it is that the map feature is a little dated and doesn’t reflect the actual routes I run. Also, it can take awhile for the GPS to sync with the satellite. Overall, I think the device works perfect for me. This is the only running GPS I have ever purchased so I have nothing else to compare it to.

I agree with one of the other reviews that if you are a Christian this book does go against some of the fundamentals that Christians embrace.
I have the second and third books and in there he says that Hitler went to Heaven because death is not really bad. If you have no solid Christian doctrines than you might believe what the author says. We have no real way of knowing the truths of these books. Don’t always assume it is true, but it can be interesting reading. Please just beware of what you read and absorb from these books. They are not total truths or doctrines.
